Home made Shawarma!

I have always enjoyed shawarmas, but I have not had the opportunity to buy it from a fast food joint in a very long time so I decided to make some.

Readily available Pitas in the store, vegetables, chicken, dressing, and a little imagination was all I needed to come up with my own brand of Susans sharwamas.

Step 1: I love healthy cooking, so I  baked shredded chicken and sliced sausages in the oven for10-15minutes at 400F.
Step 2: I mixed vegetables, eggs (optional) and dressing.
 Step 3: Pita

Step 4: On low heat put the mixture of vegetables and meat in the middle of the Pita.
Step5: Fold and press down the pita.

 Step 6: Ready to eat.

Addendum: If you dont have Pita you can use pancakes, this was the second batch I made using pancakes!

Here I am enjoying my shawarma! It was lovely!

About me!

Hello everyone,

I am Susan. This blog is about my love for cooking. I love to cook and the times I spend in the kitchen are my happiest moments.

One of the things that gives me the greatest satisfaction is seeing the look of satisfaction on my husbands face when he picks up the last morsel of food from his plate and belches in delight. I love having friends over and cooking for them brings me great joy. I am yet to have anyone eat my food and not attest to the fact that my gourmet spread is above the average chef's pot pourri of standard fare.

This blog will feature the dishes I cook on a whim or those I spend many hours working out details of the menu. I cook professionally as well and Im looking forward to receiving requests to cater for small parties or provide the extra dessert to go with a lovely meal.

For now I am Susan who loves to cook!

Bon Appetit.
